We hope to support and promote the ideas of the Kurdish Freedom Movement through a variety of means. KSN members organise solidarity efforts as part of the national network, for example, but we also co-ordinate with other campaigns, as local groups or work independently, depending on the situation.
All KSN members with lived experience as women are automatically considered part of the fully-autonomous KSN Jin group, which serves as a space for organising and education. Find about more about the work of this group here.
KSN itself is divided into a number of permanent working groups, each of which is responsible for a different element of our work:
Education Working Group
The Education Working Group put on outreach events aimed at teaching people the principles and history of the Kurdish Freedom Movement and related topics. Find about more about the work of this working group here.
Media Working Group
The Media Working Group handle all KSN media, from social media and this Web site to posters and flyers. Find about more about the work of this working group here.
Ekologi Working Group
The Ekologi Working Group conducts research and education relating to the ecological pillar of the Kurdish Freedom Movement. Find about more about the work of this working group here.
Legal Working Group
The Legal Working Group provides legal support in solidarity with the movement. Find about more about the work of this working group here.
Occasionally, we form temporary commissions which focus on a single goal or project until it is completed. One such example is the Web Site Commission, which was responsible for putting together our new Web site in 2021! Find out more about the work of any current commissions here.
