Manifesto for a Democratic Civilisation is Abdullah Öcalan’s five-part exploration of the past, present and (potential) future of democratic and capitalist society. It outlines the ideological underpinning of the whole Kurdistan freedom movement, from the importance of women’s liberation to the political organising system of democratic confederalism.
So far, only the first three parts have been translated into English:
- Volume I — Civilization: The Age of Masked Gods and Disguised Kings (available free here)
- Volume II — Capitalism: The Age of Unmasked Gods and Naked Kings (available free here)
- Volume III — The Sociology of Freedom (available free here)
