Rojava Solidarity Auction Raised over £300 for Kurdish Aid

April 12 @ 11:00 - 17:00

Ar 10.04.26 mae Kurdish Solidarity Cymru wedi neud addysg celf dros hanes yr Kurdish Freedom Movement, yr cysylltiad rhwng yr mudiad rhyddhau Cwrdistan a Phalestina ac y sefyllfa rwan, efo’r grwp celf Cwiars 4 Palestine yn y canolfan celf Arthole yng Nghaerdydd.
Cafodd y gweithdu eu ymroddedi i’r merthyrau Ivana Hoffman and Anna Campbell, 2 chwyldwraig rhwngwladol syn wedi gadael eu gwlad nhw i ymosod ffasgiaeth ac amddiffyn y chwyldro yn Rojava.
Cafodd ysgrifen olaf Ivana ei ddarllen ac ysbrydolodd lino cut o rhai o’r geiriau:

The singing of the birds sounds more like a call for freedom

Quote from Ivana Hoffman’s last writings, inspiring art to aid Rojava.

Un lino cut arall ei wneud i creu prints brêds a chafodd ei werthu yn yr acsiwn, trefnwyd ar Ebrill 12fed yn yr un canolfan. Roedd tua 30 darn o celf wedi ei gyfrannu i codi arian ar gyfer Heyva Sor. Roedd yn digwyddiad hwylus a llwyddianus ac rydynt wedi codi £323

On 10.04.26 KSC did an education/art session with the Queer Arts for Palestine group at Arthole in Cardiff. There was some history of the movement, including past links of the Kurdish and Palestinian freedom movements.
The session was dedicated to the martyrs Ivana Hoffman and Anna Campbell 2 queer revolutionary women who went to fight against facism and defend the Rojava revolution. The last speech of heval Ivana was read out and inspired someone to start creating a lino cut of some of her words.
Another was a kurdish braid, of which prints were made to sell at an auction, held a few days later at the same art centre. At least 30 pieces were donated by artist from Wales to raise funds for Heyva Sor, the Kurdish Red Crescent. It was a fun and successful event, raising £323
